-Safety Plus is an Egyptian Company, is located at 11 Mostafa Ibrahim St., behind Arab Mech. Co. (Renault Dealer), El-Nozha El-Gadida, registered with Commercial Register No.9488, Declared under No.5377 North Cairo Court, taxes card No.262-306-905.
Safety Plus, one of Arab Mechanics Group, the certified Renault Dealer for the East of Cairo district (Nasr City and Heliopolis)
Safety Plus one of its main registered activities is the Car Insurance Services through a joint-venture with Misr Insurance Co. to offer to the Egyptian market their exclusive fully comprehensive Car Insurance Package.
3- My car with Safety plus is covered against what? Top
-your car is covered against any accidental damage, fire or “totally stolen & not found”.
4-Will you insure me? Top
-Unfortunally, there will be some circumstances where we won’t be able to provide you our car insurance package , as follow:
If the named driver is Younger than 25 years or older than 70 years.
If the named driver hasn’t at least 2 years driving experience with a valid driving license.
If your car is over 3 years old (older than 2005)
If your car doesn’t have an Egyptian registration number.
If the named driver has been convicted or cautioned in respect of any offence involving dishonesty, fraud or arson or have any prosecutions or police enquires pending for such offences.
5-What can I use my car for? Top
-Your cover allows use of your car for social, domestic & pleasure purposes, commuting to & from a permanent place of work & allows personal business use.
You aren’t covered to use your car for commercial traveling, any purpose in connection with motor trade, carriage of goods or passengers for hire or reward, racing, pace making, speed testing, rallies, trails competitions, 4*4 off road events and track days.
6-How can I pay for my policy? Top
-You can choose to pay your premium in a lump sum (cash) or by your credit card, where for the time being, we accept Visa & Master Card.
7-Are the personal accident insurance (P.A.I) & third party liability (T.P.L) applied automatically in the policy? Top
-It is automatically applied for the duty-free cars without any extra premium.
But for the (duty-paid) normal cars, the (P.A.I &T.P.L) are only applied if their premiums are paid. And an attachment to the contract per each shall be issued to show thier “terms & conditions”, what is covered & what is not covered.
8-On what basis, my car insurance premium will be calculated? Top
If it is brand new brand, it will be calculated on its invoice price.
If it is used, it will be calculated on its “local fair market value”
9-If my car is duty-free; on what basis my car insurance premium will be calculated”? Top
-Whatever it’s new brand or used, the premium will be calculated on its “invoiced duty-free price”.
10- What about my No claims discount? Top
-If you don’t claim during the period of cover, we will give you an annual discount 10% at the next renewal date, up to overall 25%, as a maximum discount on your insurance premium.
Your no claim discount cannot be transferred to another person or used on more than one policy at the same time, but it could be transferred to another car for the named driver, in case of changing the car.
11- If I have made an accident, what I have to do? Top
-You have to notify us immediately through our hot line then:
If your car is “drivable”, you will arrange with one of our coordinators, if it is possible that you drive your car when available to our garage for inspection.
If your car is “not drivable”, you will contact our hotline to arrange your car collection to our garage & free limousine if needed to transfer you to your desired destination inside Great of Cairo.
12- Do I have to make a Police Damage Declaration Report, in case of an accidental damage? Top
-There is no need to make a Police Damage Declaration Report unless your car is considered a write-off/total loss or has been “totally stolen & not found”.
13-What is the procedure after notifying my accident & my car has been collected to your garage? Top
-Your car will be inspected immediately by the insurance Co. inspector & our technical engineers within maximum one working day to report the needed individual parts, paints, materials and labour.
Then your car will be sent to one of our recommended authorized & certified dealer specified to your car model to start repairing immediately under complete supervision of our technical staff.
14-When will my car be started repairs? Top
-If you have chosen one of our recommended authorized dealers, we will arrange for collection & repairs of your car ASAP, to start repairs immediately and directly after your car has been inspected.
If you have chosen to use your own repairer, your repairer will need to send us a “Fully Costed” repair estimate including all prices for the individual parts, paints, materials and labour already mentioned & determined by the insurance Co. & our technical engineers. Then our engineers will liaise with your repairer to agree & authorize the repairs.
15-In case of an accidental damage to my car & becomes “not drivable”, how/to where it will be collected? Top
-You will contact us through our Hotline to arrange with one of our coordinators, the collection of your car, free of charge ASAP , it will collected to our company main garage to be inspected.
16-When is my car considered to be “not drivable”? Top
-Your car is considered “not drivable” if it cannot be lawfully driven on a public highway (e.g damaged lights / wheels / deployed air bag) o is insecure (e.g. all windows &doors can’t be closed & locked)
17-In case of an accidental damage to my car where / when will be inspected? And b y whom? Top
-Your car will be inspected within one working day after your car has been collected to our company main garage, by the insurance Co. & our Technical Engineers.
18-After my car has been inspected, what is the procedure to start repairs? And where? Top
-After your car has been inspected, to report the needed individual parts, paints, materials and labour.
Then your car will be sent to one of our recommended certified dealers whom authorized to your car model to start repairs immediately under our Technical Engineers supervision.
19-Can I use my own repairer? Top
-Yes, if you choose your own repairer rather than one of our recommended repairers, they will need to send us a “fully costed” repair estimate which must include all the prices for the individual parts, paints, materials, and labour already mentioned & determined by the insurance co. inspector & our technical staff.
Then our engineers will liaise with your own repairer to agree & authorize the repairs, and then we will pay him the agreed repairs invoice once he finished the repairs.
20-Will I be given a courtesy (replacement) car, while my car is repaired? What is the type of the courtesy (replacement) car? Top
-Yes, you will be given a courtesy (replacement) car “provided that your car is “(not) a write-off / total loss” or has “(not) been totally stolen & not found” and the repairs period shall be more than 48 hrs, in the following two cases:
If you choose that your car insurance package is including the courtesy (replacement) car for maximum 10 days.
If you choose that is repaired in our company workshop & in this case you will be given a courtesy (replacement) car all the time of repairs.
The courtesy car shall be:
Class (C) Megane 2008, in case your car market values is more than one hundred thousands E.G.P or it is a duty-free car.
Class (A) Clio 2008, in case your car market value is less than one hundred thousands E.G.P.
21-How will I know when my car has been repaired? Top
-you will contact one of our coordinators in our contacts list to arrange the return of your car once the repairs has been finished , if you have also any questions about the progress of the repairs or the courtesy car, please call the coordinator.
22-After my car repairs have been finished, who will pay the repairs invoice? Will I have to pay any excesses towards the cost of the claim? Top
-Our company will pay the invoice immediately to the repairer directly once the repairs has been finished & delivering you your car after our technical staff revision without any excesses, you have to pay towards the cost of the claim.
23-Will the repairs to my car can be guaranteed? Top
-Yes, all repairs (including paint Work) undertaken by our recommended repairs are guaranteed for 3 months.
24-Will my car be collected and delivered back to me after repairing? Top
-Yes, provided that you are using one of our recommended repairs, your car can be collected and delivered free of change.
25-What happens if I am not satisfied with the repairs to my car? Top
-You should contact one of our coordinator to follow up with the repairer who carried out the repairs to your car, provided you had chosen one of our recommended repairers.
If you are still not satisfied, you should contact our customer satisfaction & complains Dept.
26-What happens if my car is a write off / total loss? Top
-first of all, pleas make sure all personal belonging are removed from your car before collection, then you must make a complete, accurate and fully detailed Police Declaration Report at the nearest Police Station. After that we will assess the damage to your car to consider if it can be repaired or not, if we confirmed that it can’t be repaired, we will call you to discuss and agree a valuation for your car based on your its “local fair Market value” & if we have agreed settlement , we will follow up issuing the compensation amount cheque ASAP, after selling & delivering your car to the insurance Co. completely free of any customs, taxes, remaining installments or any other suspended fees
27-What happens if my car has been “totally stolen& not found”? Top
-You have to notify us immediately and you must make a complete, accurate and fully detailed Police Declaration Report at the nearest Police Station.
Then we will pass all the case to the insurance company with our company report to be discussed, fully studied and investigated to agree a valuation for your car based on its “invoice duty-free price” & if we have agreed settlement, we will follow up issuing the compensation amount cheque ASAP.
28-If my car is a duty-free, will I have to pay any excesses towards the cost of the claim, in case of an accidental damage? Will I have the same benefits like the duty- paid car? Top
-You won’t pay any excesses or depreciations towards the cost of the claim. & you will have the same benefits exactly like the duty-paid car.
29-If my car is a duty-free, what happens in case of write-off/total loss? Top
-first of all, please make sure all personal belonging are removed from your car before collection, you must make a complete, accurate and fully detailed Police Declaration Report at the nearest Police Station. After that we will assess the damage to your car to consider if it can be repaired or not , if we confirmed that it can’t be repaired, we will call you to discuss and agree a valuation for your car based on “its invoiced duty-free price” and if we have agreed settlement , we will follow up issuing the compensation amount cheque ASAP, after selling and delivering your car to the insurance Co. completely free of any customs, taxes, remaining installments or any other suspended fees.
30-If my car is a duty-free, what happens if my car has been “totally stolen and not found”? Top
-You have to notify us immediately and you must make a complete, accurate and fully detailed Police Declaration Report at the nearest Police Station.
then we will pass all the case to the insurance company with our company report to be discussed, fully studied and investigated to agree a valuation for your car based on its invoice duty- free price within limited time after providing us with the original proofs that your car has been settled with the customs institution and becomes free of any customs, taxes, any remaining installments or any other kinds of suspended fees.
31-What should I do if my circumstances change during the period of insurance? Top
-you must tell us as soon as possible if any of the following occur:
if your car has been modified from the normal manufacturer’s specifications
You change your car
You want to use your car for a purpose not specified in your policy
You change the address where normally keep your car.
We may then re-assess your cover & premium. If you don’t tell us about any relevant changes, we may reject or reduce any claim or treat you as being uninsured. We may charge you an administrative fee for any change you make to your policy details during period of cover.
32-How do I complain? Top
-We are committed to providing you with a first class service but we recognize that there may be an occasion when you feel we may not have done this & you wish to make a complain speedily & at the earliest possible stage.
In the first instant, please contact our customer satisfaction & complains Dept., we will try to resolve your complain on receipt.
In the unlikely event that the problem hasn’t been solved to your satisfaction, you may contact our customer Relation Manager who will review your complain and send you final decision in writing.
